This 40-year old antique motorcycle is 99% original with MANY extras. 6600+ miles!! These are ORIGINAL 6,600+ miles. Miles may be slightly higher at time of sale. Is it absolute perfection? No. But many parts and components and long laundry list of extra’s are in very good to excellent condition.
ALL STOCK – Carbs rebuilt in July 2022 w/OEM Yamaha parts; jets, needles, gaskets.etc. New battery in June 2022. Battery tender is hooked to it and included in the sale. Bike is coming out of a climate-controlled 8-year storage period.
This bike is a good example of a vintage bike that was in great condition, but as it is over 40 years old, it needed some major attention. When I first brought it home, it was ride able, but the brakes needed work, the clutch was badly adjusted, it was very hard to start, etc.
On the plus side, with such low mileage, the engine and turbo seem to be in great shape. The exhaust and mufflers are also in very good condition. The problems with this bike were simply lack of maintenance because the bike was not being ridden. As with all things mechanical, they need periodic attention.
